My first glue book

I kept meaning to take this to our fine arts group to show the last two times and kept forgetting. So, I'm posting it here. I have changed one thing on the cover, but other than that, this is what it looks like! I put the images in order. The last one is the back cover and it has the table of contents on it. I had fun doing this one and will probably attempt more. I have finished one little one, in addition to this one, but it hasn't made it's public appearance yet!

This is not where I heard about gluebooks, but here's a site that talks about them: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gluebooks/.

Here's another site about gluebooks:

If anyone wants the original instructions I received, just let me know and I'll email 'em to ya. I have them in pdf form and they have pictures and everything! Thanks to Jef for the pdf!

Ummmm?! SO the gluebook is really cool. I think I'd have fun doing one after sipping some wine.

I didn't realize it was magazine people until I saw the dude from American Pie. So I feel kind of 'tarded right now. Oh well.

So whats the story behind the gluebook. I use to do stuff like that in Intermediate. I'd do it to the cover of my Composition book. It'd just say stuff like Best Friends or I Love So & So... That kinda stuff.

Yours is cool. Send me the instructions so I can understand the meaning of it and perhaps appreciate your art more.

I really had fun making it and plan to make more!

It's a little like Intermediate, but much more fun because it's over the pages of the book and not just the cover.

I'll send you the link asap!

Thanks for the link. Very helpful. I think I even have that Winnie the Pooh book somewhere. I'm thinking I'll use one that Tommy has semi ripped up. I think we have a pop up one that might work. Actually its more like a fold out kinda deal with flaps on the page. I bet I could do something cool with the flaps. For some reason eyes are in my head to try. I'll keep you posted.

I'd love to see what you do and if you do start one, take a picture of the book before you start! I wish I had done that with mine.

I thought about doing a pop-up one or one with flaps. I think that would be fun, but maybe after I have one or four under my belt first! :D
