My first still life in acrylic

Well, here's my first attempt at a still life in acrylic. I have not really painted much, but I did enjoy this. It was the end project of an art class at my church. I'm hoping for more art classes because this one was really fun and enjoyable. I think the best part was that I didn't use a paintbrush at all on this!

valentine paper crafts from Canon

At http://cp.c-ij.com/english/valentine/craft/index.html there are items that you can print out and make for your valentine.

They also have peacocks, dragons, jets, famous buildings, and more here:
http://cp.c-ij.com/english/3D-papercraft/index.html.

I made a tree from this site a couple of Christmases ago. I can't find it now, but it took 25 pages to be printed off and quite a while to build, but it was much fun. I wish I had time to do one of these now!

Here's a project I want to do:

http://www.chrisglass.com/journal/decoupage/

This decoupage experiment from Chris Glass's journal looks like a lot of fun and I already have a unused canvas laying around here somewhere ... oh yeah, I have the mod podge, too.

I'm trying to think if I've ever decoupaged anything ... we did one in girl scouts when I was young (many moons ago). It was of Jesus ... I think my mom still has it. I guess my gluebooks are kind of decoupaged too. Interesting. If I do this I'll post the pictures of it. I know I still need to post the pictures of gluebook number two and when I finish the third one I'll post that as well.

My first glue book

I kept meaning to take this to our fine arts group to show the last two times and kept forgetting. So, I'm posting it here. I have changed one thing on the cover, but other than that, this is what it looks like! I put the images in order. The last one is the back cover and it has the table of contents on it. I had fun doing this one and will probably attempt more. I have finished one little one, in addition to this one, but it hasn't made it's public appearance yet!

This is not where I heard about gluebooks, but here's a site that talks about them: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gluebooks/.

Here's another site about gluebooks:

If anyone wants the original instructions I received, just let me know and I'll email 'em to ya. I have them in pdf form and they have pictures and everything! Thanks to Jef for the pdf!
